More than 2 million people in Gaza are trapped in one of the world’s most severe humanitarian emergencies, with over 100,000 killed, more than 150,000 injured, and nearly the entire population displaced since October 2023. Famine conditions have been declared in parts of Gaza, where hundreds of thousands face catastrophic hunger, and children are suffering acute malnutrition due to blocked and severely restricted aid.

Hospitals are overwhelmed or destroyed, critical fuel and medical supplies are depleted, and thousands of wounded patients remain without access to urgent surgery or specialist care. Families are living in makeshift shelters without reliable food, clean water, sanitation, or electricity, while disease and trauma spread rapidly. With aid access constrained and basic services collapsing, more than a million lives remain at immediate risk without sustained emergency intervention.

Across Gaza, families are enduring relentless hardship as essential supplies run dangerously low and basic services continue to collapse. Entire neighbourhoods have been reduced to rubble, forcing parents and children into makeshift shelters without reliable access to food, safe drinking water, electricity, or healthcare. Malnutrition is rising, particularly among young children, while overwhelmed hospitals struggle to function amid critical shortages of fuel, equipment, and trained staff.

People with serious injuries and chronic illnesses are unable to receive the treatment they urgently need, and overcrowded living conditions are accelerating the spread of disease. Aid entering Gaza remains inconsistent and insufficient to meet the scale of need. Immediate humanitarian assistance is vital to sustain life, prevent further loss, and protect vulnerable families facing unimaginable daily risk.

Hot meals and food parcels are being distributed to displaced households, while clean water is supplied through tanker deliveries and essential hygiene items are provided to help prevent the spread of disease in overcrowded shelters.
